folinternship

A one year program organised by the Fountain of Life Network Church, Ashill, Norfolk.

The FoL is a missionary congregation of the Church of England with a vision to provide a strong spiritual base from which the surrounding area can be re-evangelised. We seek to create a community in which people can find belonging, grow in their relationship with God and be equipped in the mission of the Kingdom of God.

The vision of folinternship is givegrowgo.

Spend a year serving in the different ministries of the Church developing your gifts and growing in vision for where God is calling you. With the option to study an accredited course with New Wine Training Partnership (NWTP) or receive local teaching. Be supported by mentors throughout the year and leave trained and empowered for a life engaged in the mission of God.

Give

Folinternship is based at The Well Christian Centre – home of the FoL Network.

As well as the Church based in Ashill there is a new congregation emerging in the city of Norwich and different missionary congregations which meet in Scarning, Swaffham and Watton.

During the year accommodation is provided for you. You will be working in the different locations above, helping to develop them as well as taking part in the ministries that run from the hub in Ashill.

Giving is an important part of the internship, serving in the ministries of the FoL, helping you gain the foundation of leadership – a servant heart.

You will have the opportunity to work in all aspects of the life of the Church – from setting out the venue for events to engaging in ministry with all ages.

You will be encouraged to develop your existing gifts and discover new ways in which God may want to equip you.

For more information about the different ministries click above.

Grow

We see another important part of the year being the opportunity to mature and develop your faith and walk with God.

There are two streams for the teaching during the year. In Stream A you will be studying the NWTP syllabus and in Stream B you will receive local teaching. For more detail on the different streams see the links above.

In addition to the different teaching schedules you will meet regularly with a mentor. There will also be regular sessions with each other for prayer, worship and study and in addition regular session with the leadership to talk about how the year is developing.

There are also opportunities for you to attend conferences and seminars within the Church.

Go

As a missionary congregation we are continually looking for new ways to develop and build our ministries within a mission focus. You will play a role in developing existing initiatives and creating new ones.

In addition to this, there is the opportunity for you to join a team from the FoL on a UK or overseas missions. In past years these have included trips to India and Uganda working with congregations there.

We aim to give you experience in many different areas of mission – so you have the opportunity to use and develop personal gifting and find new ones.

Through this we hope that you can pursue your personal vision throughout the year – helping to equip you for the next stage of your journey.

Watch the above videos to see the thoughts of previous interns and what they have done since finishing the year.
