Our Mercy ministry reaches out to bless those in our area who find themselves in need in order to show God’s love and compassion, and offer assistance through prayer and in practical ways.

EMERGENCY PRAYER SUPPORT

Our emergency prayer response team members intercede on behalf of others in a crisis or a situation of pressing need. The request is circulated to the response team as soon as it is received. The greater detail of each prayer request is kept confidential to the Prayer Coordinator, unless permission is given to provide specific information to pray-ers. We do need to know who the request is from and who the prayer is for - but this information can also be kept confidential.

PRACTICAL SUPPORT

CAP Money Management Courses

Our CAP Money Coaches run CAP Money Management Courses; enabling those who have enough money to manage it better, and those struggling with debt to access help direct from CAP head office. Anyone can benefit from taking the Money Management course, which doesn’t require you to disclose any personal information.

CAP (Christians Against Poverty) has been working towards making this a debt free nation for over 10 years and there are hundreds of money courses running at churches in this country and abroad.

Practical Assistance

We aim to try to provide short-term practical assistance to those in need; either by finding people who can help or by signposting to other organisations/agencies as appropriate. The phone number to use for this is the same as the Emergency Prayer Support no.
