Isaiah 45:1-25 Turn to Me

by fol CHURCH on January 28, 2021

A key verse in Isaiah 45 is verse 22 where God says, “Turn to me and be saved all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other”.  (John 14:6)

God continues to be in the business of salvation. It is His exclusive right for all eternity. However, in His grace He chose to reveal this message to us His creation in the coming of our Saviour and through the prophets who, inspired by the Holy Spirit, spoke of the coming King. A message so profound that even the angels marvelled at it for it was not revealed to them.” It was revealed to them (the prophets of old) that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things." (1 Pet 1:12.) Peter means for us to understand what a huge deal it is that the message of salvation by God’s grace has been revealed to us now.  God didn’t tell the prophets – or the angels But He has shown us.

God’s salvation is not just limited to a few privileged nations, but it extends to “the ends of the earth. God “wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth”.  For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ, who gave Himself as a ransom for all “(1 Tim 2:4-5). In the Lord alone are deliverance and strength, however, just as God used the pagan Cyrus to deliver his people and bring them home how much more will He use us. Are willing to say, like Paul, “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” (Acts 20:24) Paul was able to move with such confidence for he knew that God would go before him and level the mountains, break down the gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron to give him the hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places. (Is 45:2-3).

Are we, like Paul, willing to enter into battle for the souls of men? “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the…….” (Eph. 6:12).
