"And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory."

In this verse, Peter addresses the elders and leaders within the church, encouraging them to shepherd God's flock with humility and dedication. He assures them that their faithful service will be rewarded by Christ, the Chief Shepherd, upon His return. 

Life often presents us with opportunities to lead and serve others—be it in our families, workplaces, or communities. These roles can be challenging, requiring patience, wisdom, and selflessness. It's easy to become weary or feel unappreciated. However, Peter's message reminds us that our efforts do not go unnoticed by God. He sees our labour and promises a reward that is eternal and unfading.

The "unfading crown of glory" symbolizes the eternal honour and joy awaiting those who faithfully serve. Unlike earthly rewards that wither and fade, this divine reward is everlasting. 

As we navigate our daily responsibilities, let us keep our eyes on this promise. Our motivation should stem not from seeking human recognition but from a desire to honour God and serve others. In doing so, we reflect Christ's love and leadership, inspiring those around us.
