Something a little different today (N.B. I suggest reading some of the verses that surround it!): 

Here I stand.

Not knowing the lengths that have been chartered,

The depths that have been plotted.

Nor the pain of the scares that, freely given,

Set my hearts course to the praise of your glorious grace.

Here I stand.

Lavished, by wisdom and understanding, knowing neither,

But by the mystery revealed,

By pleasure, blood and will,

Draws forth the praise of my heart from the depths of my being.

Here I stand.

With love guaranteed by wounds and scars unmatched,

Heart marked, sealed, secure, entwined

But ‘how can this be?’

My included heart, set to the purpose of your will.

Application:

Just ask yourself, what springs to my mind as you read these verses with God today? Allow your inspired thought to become your praise offering, whatever words come!

Thank you, Father, for the inspiration of your love. Let your salvation continue to inspire me each and every day, whether in word, thought or deed! Amen
